Advocacy

Washington State PTSA Wants YOUR Opinion!

The legislative issues survey will close at midnight on October 3, rather than September 30 as previously planned, so please take the survey now. The 18 proposed issues to be considered at Legislative Assembly, are available here, and the online survey is available here.  If you have time, please share your thoughts.  Thank you!

Take Action
Washington State PTA has been advocating for kids for 106 years. Now is not the time to stop. Extreme budget cuts are happening throughout the year, and lawmakers are having to make difficult decisions that affect teachers, staff, programs, & mostly kids. We must speak up for kids who are counting on us. With your help, Legislators can hear from thousands of parents, making the PTSA an even more powerful advocate for children.

What you can do

Become an advocate for your child's education, here's how…

Join the PTSA

Handwrite a polite letter to the three district legislators (lawmakers) and let them know who you are, then what you think. Some ideas include "Even in these difficult times support "Investment in Education." "My child does not have a second chance at the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade." "Our kids are counting on you!" to "Make EVERY child's potential a reality — support education funding.!"
